AAC Hockley was named after Jack Hockley as part of FP Genetics' campaign to honor veterans.

Jack Hockley was born in the Yellow Grass area in 1926. Jack joined the Canadian Army during World War II. He served with Pacific Command, and was honourably discharged in Regina in April 1946. Jack has been a member of the Maple Creek Legion Branch #75 for thirty years.


If you are looking for a high yielding variety that you can push on irrigation and you don't want the hassle of a wheat midge agreement, this variety is for you. It has some height variation in the field but is among the top for yield on irrigation (per AB seed guide), has very good lodging resistance and high protein potential.
