AAC® Brandon Wheat

SeCan | Technical Bulletin | Performance Data

This semi-dwarf CWRS variety yields 5% higher than Carberry with similar lodging and fusarium resistance. Brandon is one of the top varieties in western Canada today due to it's high yield, good quality package and good FHB resistance.

Awned semi-dwarf hard red spring wheat. Similar lodging tolerance and disease resistance to AC® Carberry with 105% yield index, with shorter straw and earlier maturity.

First commercially released in western Canada in 2015, it has become an extremely popular variety.

AAC Brandon has been our most popular spring wheat to date. Excellent quality parameters combined with extremely high yields and great standability make AAC Brandon a top choice for our customers. Our experience is that Brandon performs well under both dryland and irrigation conditions which means it is extremely adaptable.
