Chin Ridge founders recognized at Calgary Stampede BMO Farm Family Event in July 2023

Chin Ridge has been successful through the years in large part due to the efforts of the Barany Family. This effort was recognized at the 2023 BMO Farm Family Awards held on July 10^th at the Calgary Stampede.

Sponsored by BMO bank, the awards are an opportunity to show support to the increasingly important urban – rural relationship. According to Calgary Stampede Chair, Will Osler, the annual event celebrates the innovation and dedication of farm families in southern Alberta communities who continue to lead the agriculture industry forward.

The Barany family and Chin Ridge Farms were selected from the MD of Taber as one of the farm families honored at the awards. The family today encompasses not only Lawrence and Wilma Barany, the founders of the business, but also daughter Kelly Barany and her husband Don Hubble; daughter Tracy Ritchie and her husband Brian; son Mitch Barany; as well as grandchildren.

The family was very honored to receive the award. Kelly shared, “As a multi-generational farm family, we pride ourselves on our dedication to our customers, our employees, our community and to being responsible stewards of the land”.
