AC® Carberry

SeCan | Technical Bulletin | Performance Data

AC® Carberry is an awned, semi-dwarf CWRS variety that when compared to Superb has similar grain yield, higher grain protein potential, shorter, stronger straw and much better fusarium head blight resistance.

AC® Carberry is equal in maturity to Superb and has good sprouting resistance indicated by a high falling number. AC® Carberry also provides resistance to leaf rust, stem rust, common bunt and loose smut.

This variety is well adapted across western Canada but will be especially attractive to wheat producers in the high yielding areas of the Prairies who desire a short, strong strawed variety with good FHB resistance.

If you have been losing grade on HRSW or have been affected by Fusarium issues, then AC Carberry hard red spring wheat is an excellent variety to consider. This new spring wheat has high yield potential, excellent disease resistance, short strong straw and great grain quality and protein. It has a "good" rating for fusarium and excellent lodging resistance.

If you are thinking of wheat on irrigation AC Carberry is a great choice.
