New! AAC Walsh -protein, standability, low DON

AAC Walsh is the new semi-dwarf CWRS to track down this spring!  Its excellent lodging resistance makes it ideal for high-input, intensive wheat acres across Western Canada. However, it also performs well and consistently across a variety of field conditions. It has large kernels, and a standout disease package with very low DON accumulation.  It holds grain protein equal to AAC Brandon while bringing superior milling and baking quality.  Bred from a cross between AAC Brandon, AAC Goodwin and BW981, AAC Walsh is the variety to keep an eye on this Spring.

• 105% yield of AAC Brandon
• Short, very strong semi-dwarf straw – similar to Viewfield, with top lodging resistance
• Moderately Resistant (MR) to FHB with desirably low DON accumulation
• Resistant (R) to leaf rust, MR to stem rust and common bunt, Intermediate to stripe rust
• Large kernel size and excellent milling/baking traits
• For growers who push nitrogen and fungicide on their best wheat land and still want excellent standability, AAC Walsh is the new intensive-acre champion.
