Alfalfa & Hay Blends

We stock our favorite alfalfa and hay blends:

• CHIN RIDGE SUPER BLEND FOR IRRIGATION: Our recommended alfalfa for pushing hay yields on irrigation is our Chin Ridge Super blend. We have added 30% Perfection fast growth Alfalfa to the standard 10-5 alfalfa blend. Perfection is a high yielding alfalfa featuring the unique StandFast® Fast Growth trait that offers up to 30% faster growth than other competitive alfalfa varieties, resulting in extra cuttings and more harvestable yield each season. Combining it with 10-5 gives improved yield while still ensuring performance under variable soil conditions.
  
  
• MULTI-PURPOSE BLEND FOR DRYLAND OR IRRIGATION: Our Alfalfa Blend 10-5 is a unique blend of certified seed with 5 premium alfalfa varieties. This is a blend that will do well in variable conditions (saline, wet or dry areas), or in areas of high traffic without compromising yield.

• SALINE HAY MAX ALFALFA/FESCUE/BROMEGRASS BLEND: This our our recommended hay blend for productive soils that are demonstrating early signs of salt stress. This blend has tolerance to increased moisture conditions. This blend contains: 40% Rugged ST Alfalfa, 40% Courtenay Tall Fescue, 20% Carlton Smooth Bromegrass

Other blends are available but are special order. All customer specific custom blends require prepayment on order.
